Comments: A True Yankee Moment: An Eighth Straight AL East Title

Congrats on the division, although a loss tomorrow makes it more of a technicality than a real division title.

I'm desperate for a Cubbies win tomorrow just to give my Phils a chance at the wild card.

My recap of the season is more of a look back at my preseason predictions. And damn if I didn't have a little Nostradamus in me.

If the shirts say 2005 AL East Champs, then I don't care about a technicality. What a season. Only took 8 years off my life instead of 10. So far.

Seems like only yesterday that people were talking about firing Torre, retiring Randy, sending Giambi to the minors, releasing Bernie, teaching Rivera a changeup, and trading Cano and Wang for AJ Burnett. Incredible season.

Congrats Paul, except I'm pretty confident this AL East Championship will end in the same way as the last 4....

Confident in what way? In a numbers way, meaning seven teams combined have a better chance than one?

Or are you just not impressed with the club? I wouldn't put any AL team ahead of them, that's for sure.

Braves still got ya beat make it 9 in a row for them. haha bitches.

Posted by bushlover at October 4, 2005 11:24 AM

oops typo make it 14 yea try and beat that just wanted to rub it in some more hahahahahahaha

Posted by bushlover at October 4, 2005 11:26 AM

Try to beat the Braves? I believe we have. Eight straight wins against them in the World Series and two titles.

how the hell does a typo result in "14" being turned into "9"? either you don't know shit about the team you're backing, or you have really fat fingers. i say both.
