NASCAR Fanny Packs for Everyone!
For your sports fix Wednesday, head on over to SportsByBrooks.com for a daily update I wrote, including:

• NASCAR fanny packs
• EA Sports' Arena Football video game
• Keith Olbermann back with ESPN
• Anniversary of Dan Quayle's spelling gaffe...

... and more. Ought to be more fun than trying to figure out how Michael Jackson is not in jail.

Great stuff! Um... except for, perhaps, the Jay Leno-like, "I guess he felt a little handcuffed under the old system." ;-)

I should have made that line bite more, for sure.

So, assuming the Ravens can field 11 people not in jail...

Or 46 also represents the total amount of dollars Brian Billick spends in haircuts in a year.

I bet the person buying that Nascar fanny pack has a wicked mullet, drinks PBR and looks like a jack-o-lantern when he or she smiles.

Could there possibly be anything that Nascar won't put their name on?

Hey Paul, did you happen to catch this on the Kokomo web site-

"Kokomo is licensed for transient rentals by State, County and City of Key West"

I think of the Blues Brothers, "Hey boy, did 'ya get my Cheez Whiz?"

Haven't seen that movie, to tell the truth.

Nice find on that 'Murderball' movie...I think I'll definitely be checking that one out. The gf will be happy because I'm taking her to Kendall Sq (Boston indy movie house) and I'll be happy because we won't be seeing a movie about 2 gay guys with French subtitles (not that there's anything wrong with that). We both win.

Florida real estate laws require special licensing for facilities that rent for any time period less then 30 days. People who rent for a week (a normal vacation time frame) or more yet less then 30 days is defined as "transient" under Florida law.

Really, it is just another way for Florida to make money on real estate.

"The Blues Brothers" is one of the classic movies of all time. It's also on TV all the time.

The scene with James Brown as the preacher in a church, Aretha Franklin in a restaurant, Ray Charles in a music store, the boys in a redneck bar, the nun -- run right out NOW and buy the DVD and the soundtrack!
