The Great PK.com Apartment Clearance Sale
I'm not smart enough to understand all the tax laws. But, according to my accountant, I make off better this year if I sell some stuff out of my apartment, even below their worth, as long as I get it done in the next couple of weeks. And I guess it doubles as a bit of spring cleaning, since a lot of this stuff is sitting around collecting dust anyway.

I'm too lazy to build a ton of eBay listings and waiting a week for auctions to end, so here's a short list of available items (and a link to a longer "catalog") you can contact me about directly, if you're interested:

Playstation 2 With 10 Games: $65 for all
I have an extra PS2, plus a ton of games I never play anymore: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Fight Night Round 2, Gran Turismo 4, Major League Baseball 2K5, NCAA Football 2004, etc.

20GB iPod: $50
I got a Mini now, but this one works fine.

$100 Banana Republic Gift Certificate: $25
Formerly a gift to me. Now a gift to you.

10 Movie DVDs: $20 for all
Maybe stuff you already have: Pulp Fiction, The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Caddyshack, Gladiator, Goodfellas, Saving Private Ryan, Memento and Annie Hall.

100 or So CDs: $25 for all
I converted them all to MP3s anyway: Bruce Springsteen, Nelly, Various Soundtracks, Matchbox Twenty, U2, Eminem, Toby Keith, Barenaked Ladies, Outkast, etc.

Fender DG-10CE Acoustic/Electric Guitar: $50
Can only play one guitar at a time, so I'll hang on to my Takamine.

Not as good as the kittie from a couple of years ago.

I hope you're not selling your HARPOONTANG cd's!!!

Posted by Tequila Dave at April 1, 2005 9:33 AM

April Fucking Fool's. So, uh, what are you saying? I CAN'T get the Playstation?

Posted by Larry at April 1, 2005 10:42 AM

Dude, I already had PayPal pulled up. Horrible joke. ;)

Posted by Stephen at April 1, 2005 10:47 AM

I fell for the move to Boston big time, but I"m onto you now, Paul. I know what to expect April 1. So, really how much for the Playstation?

Posted by Larry at April 1, 2005 12:40 PM

Larry, you cheap bastard, it's not a real sale! I actually do have an extra Playstation 2 console, but no extra cords or controllers. Do have a ton of games collecting dust, though. Gotta put those up on eBay.

Tequila, your Harpoontag CDs were actually requested as a prize by one of the top finishers in the PK.com football pool. So I spread the gospel of misogynistic rock 'n' roll and mailed them out. Don't worry, I burned them onto my computer and they're safe and sound on my iPod.

I fell for it AGAIN. I obviously ride the short bus.

Posted by Gillian at April 1, 2005 2:59 PM

Gee Paul, who's gullible now? I realized immediately it wasn't for sale. My comment was, how shall I say, an April Fool's joke?

Now, this link looks like an April Fool's joke, but I think it's real. Viagra caused blindness in 14 dudes. I'm guessing they were all alone when they used it.

PK,

You got me last year with the pussy story. Not this time. Plus I have been so busy with stuff around the house with the Queer Eye guys coming for our party no time to blog-surf today.

Posted by Shumpy at April 1, 2005 5:51 PM

I hafta admit I fell for it, damn you PK.com

Posted by O & A fan in Fla at April 1, 2005 8:05 PM

I know taxes, so I knew right away it was a hoax. But I giggled thinking about you with a mini iPod, and Annie Hall.
I too liked the kitten adoption from another April Fools Day.
And unloading Outkast isn't funny, man. =)

Nice April Fool's post; much less blatantly obvious than my own.

Also, I didn't know you had Fight Night 2. We need to hook up the bout via Internet. That game is fucking addictive.

Posted by stackpat at April 2, 2005 2:08 AM

I know nothing about Playstations and very little about iPods, but Banana Republic gift certificates ... those I know.

You had me until then....Another good April 1 gag.
