I have to post this reply from my friend J-No, after I sent out an e-mail that I'll be watching at Overlook Lounge on 44 Street between Second and Third Avenues:
"I'll see you over there. I'll probably watch the first six hours at home and then come over in the 20th."
Uh, doesn't the Empire end up losing in Star Wars?
By the way, could you tell us out of staters the weather in NY please?
Here are the hourly weather details in the Bronx:
http://www.weather.com/activities/events/sports/weather/fcst-hrly.html?locid=10451
Light but persistent rain outside right now, looks like chance of precip. drops to 30-40% during the game.
My hunch is that both teams would welcome a rainout. I think the fans just wanna get it over with. There's no NL game today, so MLB would like to get the game in, I would imagine, and not risk having the play two Game 7s on one day.
As of 3:35 p.m., the rain has stopped in NYC.
Oh, like I'm supposed to think about anything else today? I might as well stick my head out the window for four-and-a-half hours.
Tonight it's "Return of the Red Sox", featuring the following line from Bill Mueller: Mariano: I am your Daddy!
Go Sox!
As a baseball fan (and someone who is tired of seeing the Yankees in just about every world series) I would love to see this series go 7 games. Here is to hoping the rain holds off and the drama continues for another 48 hours. Whatever happens tonight (and hopefully tomorrow)it should be exciting.
Great baseball stuff from Bill Madden today in the Daily News on:
* The Yanks' payroll next year: Bernie, GIambi, Brown and Lofton are way overpriced.
* Yanks and Sox play games with each other on suites at road sites.
* Cerutti not memorialized as much a Caminiti, whose death was not of natural causes.

'The Empire' is crumbling before our eyes...the Yanks aren't getting all the lucky breaks...no phantom HR call (where's Jeffrey Meier when you need him) and A-Rod can't even get away with an opened handed slap to the pitcher's arm.
Uh....could A-Rod have been a little *more* blatant slapping the ball out of the glove? Smooooooooth.....
Whoomp - there it is....
Helloooo Game 7.
How typical Red Sox would it be if they fought all the way back from a 3-0 deficit...the first team in MLB history to do so, just to lose in game one? RSN...you know it crossed your mind didn't it?
Has this series lived up to it's billing or what.
