Dictionary for Women's Personal Ads
Not much time to write today, but I do have some goodies on the edit calendar, including a review of Sports Illustrated's 50th anniversary issue and an Internet Hall of Fame (think Mahir, Stephanie Seymour and Nigerian e-mailers). For now, enjoy a very rare re-post of a chain e-mail I got, from a family member no less.

HEY! I got this email, also. There is a male version of this as well. Equal time: that's all I'm saying.. typical Yankee fan. ;)

just got the shirt today...very, very comfortable and cool looking. At least I know nobody else will have this shirt. Thanks for hooking up a stranger.

Care to comment on this personal? It's one of the best I've ever seen.

I don't believe any personal ads with good-looking chicks. I've seen and heard about too many fakes.

What's the easiest way for a dating site to get people to subscribe? Plant their own fake ads from hot chicks. Think they don't?

I'm sure there are fake ads, but I also know people who have met through online personals. It is a growing necessity in our age. You probably get just as many lies online as you get at bars -- except Yogi's, of course, where everyone is too drunk to lie.

And I do think that "satisfactrix" is real. Read the ad. Do you think some shill at an online company could write like that?
