Meet Joyce, not exactly the most attractive woman to ever walk down the street. In fact, some might say she looks like Dorothy Michaels in Tootsie, who — might I remind you — was played by a man. But what Joyce lacks in sex appeal, she makes up for in originality, scoring a placement on Stone's wildly popular gallery of worst album covers ever.
The link has been something of a phenomenon over the past couple of days, ranking No. 1 on Blogdex, an index of popular links on blogs, which tend to skew toward any news story that makes either George W. Bush seem like an idiot or Donald Rumsfeld seem like a liar. But topless male band members of Orleans arm-in-arm will get the job done, too. So congrats to Stone for reaching his record number of hits, by far (see the site's recent traffic chart).
Most interesting to me is that his post was authored on Oct. 23 but became a phenomenon only this week. The Internet is a powerful tool, and just about anything could make a big splash if the right people notice it — even if it's not noticed right away. Like my gallery of horrible vanity credit cards.

I know this isn't related to today's post, but it is related to one earlier in the week.
The guy who was sitting out in front of the porno shop and videotaping people walking in to hopefully shame them with pictures on the internet.... well I was listening to the radio on my way home from work yesterday, and I was listening to The Schnitt Show (don't know if you've ever heard of it... it's broadcast in the San Antonio area along with Tampa and Fort Lauderdale/Miami, I don't know if it is anywhere else - AM Talk radio show that's a little goofy with a conservative tilt) and Schnitt was talking about this guy. Apparently with all the publicity he was getting, someone looked into his history and turns out the guy is a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER! Yeah... the guy trying to shame people for renting porno is an official sexual predator.
Has anyone else heard this? I have to take it with a grain of salt because about 25% of the stuff Schnitt talks about is BS... but this seemed to be something he was taking seriously at the time... as he continued to talk about how there are many people who are supposedly so anti-porno or anti-adult entertainment (strip clubs & such)... or anti whatever and then it turns out in their past they were the totally extreme opposite. He rattled off a few names and their current stance along with what shows up in public records totally contradicting their efforts.
Anyway.. just wanted to see if anyone else heard about this because I think that's friggin' hilarious if it's true.... what a schmuck that guy is. Instead of a water hose, they should throw buckets of paint or something at him.
