Head 2 Head: Grand Lakes University vs. Adams College
Here's how Head 2 Head works: I throw out a debate between two people, places or things, and you settle it by posting a comment.

Today's question: Which education of higher learning would you rather attend, Grand Lakes University (Back to School) or Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds)

Grand Lakes University, Dean Martin presiding
Pros: Every campus has its share of horny, drunken co-eds, but where else can you nail the English professor? Especially when you're 65 and look 100, while the babe you're bangin' used to be known as "Hot Lips." ... Simply combining two dorms rooms resembles the presidential suite at the Ritz. Combine my two freshman dorm rooms and you get something slightly larger than a prison cell ... Thornton's cousin Bubbles ... Sam Kinison and Kurt Vonnegut are regulars.
Cons: When your headlining sport is diving, you're in worse shape than Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Baylor combined ... Keith Gordon as Jason Melon. Dick Butkus could literally laugh at this guy's acting ... How great a catch could Diane have been if Dr. Phillip Barbay already got her?

Adams College, Dean Ulich presiding
Pros: Belching contests. Gotta get me in one of those someday. I'll have Booger cryin' for his mama ... Managed to withstand the curse of Ted McGinley, who ruined, among others, Happy Days, Love Boat and Married ... With Children. Here he deserves as Oscar for his role as Alpha Beta member/president of the Greek Council//quarterback Stan Gable ... I'm applying to any school where a dork like Louis Skolnick can get a piece of ass like Betty Childs to ride the baloney pony ... The pies!
Cons: The Moos. They sure can party, but my god, they don't even make beer goggles that strong ... Can't be havin' a pussy like Dean Ulich running the show. Coach Harris (John Goodman) ate his ass for lunch. And it shows.

BREAKING NEWS!
Dangerfield To Go 'Back To School' — Rodney has has signed a deal with MGM to remake the 1986 classic comedy. I think I have died and gone to heaven. (Then again, I'm not 13 anymore.) What better way to celebrate than to listen to Rappin' Rodney?

Steak and sex, my favorite pair. I have 'em both the same way: very rare.

I'd have to go with Adams. It's more of a party school like Loyola/Tulane in New Orleans. Also, having been a former Greek (Beta Theta Pi thank you), I can relate better to the nerds because we had a bunch of them. Me and another guy were the "face men" sent to the Greek Council and Dean's office at lest once a week because the "nerds" did shit like shooting an M-16 in the house, throwing bottles of Bacardi into some of the sorrority houses, sticking pledges in the refrigerated keg dispenser and all the usual shit

While funny, Back to School was focused on the Melons and I could not related to it as well.

Oh, I forgot, we also put an entire class of pledges in couches wedged up in trees and had them sing their song books. The twist was that they had to fein turret's syndrome any time a girl walked by: Bitch, Whore, Slut, Whatever.

Ah, the college days. I learned a lot.....

The Adams Atoms! And don't underestimate the rap at the end of the movie, which would give Rodney a run for his money: "We've got Poindexter on the violin. Louis and Gilbert will be joining in..." Plus I don't know who's harder to watch in Back to School, Jason Melon or a super 80's-looking Robert Downey Jr.

It really comes down to the homecoming games (belching/javelin throw/etc.) vs. the triple lindy.

I have hesitated to chime in on this one because it's neck and neck! But after a day or two of soul searching, I have to give the edge to Adams College, if the question is which school I'd rather attend.

As for which movie I like better, also a tough question. But here I give the edge to Rodney. The movie was perfect for him. I still love the photo I have of my "little" brother [now 30] on his h.s. graduation day. Red cap and gown, in Thornton's "thumbs up" pose, goofy expression and all. Also, I saw Sam Kinison for the first time in this movie, so that gives it a little extra umph.

Excellent head-to-head.

Love Rodney's graduation day speech.

My advice to you as you are about to leave college and enter the real world is - don't go.

Don't forget the classic college of all time.

Faber college from Animal House.

Remember "Knowledge is Good."

This is a very tough choice, but I've got to go with Adams. "What the fuck is a frush?"
